Limiting Beliefs

Our thoughts travel at 300 miles per hour. We have 70,000 thoughts a day. Unfortunately many of our thoughts are beliefs that limit our joy and success. Limiting beliefs cause us to live small and keep our accomplishments 'manageable.' Some common limiting beliefs sound like:

I'm not good enough
I'm not smart enough
I'm not young/old enough
I'm not pretty/handsome enough
I have to please everyone
I don't deserve to succeed
People with money are not good
I am a victim, things happen TO me
I am not creative
I am not interesting

These beliefs keep us from fully expressing ourselves, from meeting people we want to meet, from innovating, from trusting others, from taking risks that could propel us forward.

We must challenge these limiting beliefs but first we must identify them, then question the validity of these beliefs. Establish good mental
hygiene and reframe these beliefs to be more empowering.
